OUR HOME IN DC

Still over 2000 miles from home, but what better way to top off a trip to Europe than a visit to the white house. The cherry trees are in blossom now and the whole place is simply beautiful. I was told that the Japanese gave us the trees but I have no idea when. I wonder which they gave us first the trees, or Pearl Harbor.

ARLINGTON MEMORIAL

Sure don't know about others, but without question the outstanding and most heart warming spot in all of Washington is the eternal flame memorial for President Kennedy. That brings to mind the tear jerker when JFK Jr. saluted his passing casket. And now there's George.

CAPITOL BUILDING

OUR CAPITOL As enjoyable as other countries can be, there is nothing like standing in front of your own beautiful capitol, even though you don't agree with some of the things that go on there at times.
